The Budget and Finance committee is responsible for the preparation and review of the Association’s budget and projected revenue for the upcoming fiscal year. The Committee also develops recommendations to bolster’s the Associations financial posture. The committee works closely with the Financial Secretary and the Treasure in the development of the budget and finance recommendations.

The budget process begins with input from the various committee chairs. These requested are used to formulate the initial budget input. The budget committee meets in May of each year and evaluates each budget request based on the need and the report of expenditures from the Financial Secretary. The committee also examines the revenue reports from the Financial Secretary; this also factors into the budget preparations. The committee then adjusts the budget as necessary. The committee then formulates an action plan to help drive revenue for the upcoming fiscal year.

The committee chair is responsible for reporting the budget to the officers and membership at the annual convention via the committee reports. At the request of the President, the committee may also have to present an oral report at the Association’s annual convention.
